JP Enterprises’ AR-15 JP15 Upper Receiver Assembly is made on a forged top with a 16″ Supermatch barrel. But the lightweight barrel is made of 416 stainless steel, button-fluted and cryogenically treated for outstanding accuracy. Chambered 223 Wylde is designed to be the best of SAAMI commercial specification and NATO chambering, allowing the most comprehensive assortment of ammunitionto be used while maintaining accuracy.

The 1 in 8″ twist rifling delivers good effects with bullet weights from 40 to 77 grains. But the 16″ barrel is threaded 1/2″-28 with a jp upper. The Low Mass Bolt carrier is stainless steel with a QPQ finish. The QPQ finish is a five-step treatment of polishing and hardening the surface resulting in a rugged exterior with a high level of lubricity. 

The bolt is made of SAE 9310 steel and exceeds the common mil-spec in strength and service life. The low-mass bolt carrier group and adjustable gas block significantly reduce the felt recoil and keep the pistol on target. An LMOS buffer (available separately) with this jp uppers receiver is recommended. But the JP MKIII Signature Series handguard is a reduced-diameter free-floating handguard with provisions for mounting additional rails in many positions. 

The reduced 2″ diameter of the handguardmakes it more relaxing to hand and allows for better control of the rifle. The ample ventilation slots and thermal dissipater keep the barrel cool.
